054 Shoes

054 Shoes
Object: Shower shoes

Acquired: Unknown

From: Walmart, probably

Notes: I got shower shoes to wear in college. I'm not sure if these are them or if i replaced them since, but I spent many years living in places with communal or semi-communal showers, so these have come in handy.

053 Shoes

053 Shoes
Object: Teva Sandals

Acquired: Unknown

From: Unknown

Notes: I got these ages ago for wearing at summer camp, although to do so was cheating on the 'no open-toed shoes' rule. I wore them a lot when I got them, but nowadays I barely remember I own them.

052 Shoes

052 Shoes
Object: Gray gym shoes

Acquired: 2006

From: Khol's I think, oddly enough. Mom bought them for me

Notes: These were supposed to be one of the last pairs of shoes mom ever bought me, but that didn't last. I got them just before heading out to my Outdoor ed job the first time, although I was still very, very attached to my old pair of tennis shoes, and these never quite managed to replace them. You can see a color change where my extra long pants tend to hide part of the shoes from the dust.
And I should mention that they are only in such good condition because I hardly ever wear them; I've converted to hiking boots and never looked back.

The bead-things hanging on the shoes are "IALAC beads" which are a little gift we give to the kids in Outdoor Ed at the end of each week so they can remember all the fun they had. Some weeks the teachers get them, too.

051 Boots

051 Boots
Object: Yellow rain boots

Acquired: 2009

From: Walmart in MA

Notes: I wanted rain boots, but these are probably the most uncomfortable pair ever invented--especially since I would wear them tramping through the woods with children. It was rather fun to go through the streams and/or be properly prepared for the weather, but the lack of inside support and insulation made them extremely unfun to wear.

050 Shoes

050 Shoes
Object: Hush puppy Sandals

Acquired: Unknown

From: Savers Thrift Store

Notes: I got these when I got rid of my first pair of Crocs so I'd have something to slip into and/or wear during the summer.  They are okay, but rub at the side of my feet something awful, so now that I have new Crocs I hardly ever wear them.  I did get some blue paint on them from re-painting the bedroom a few years ago, though. It's just a splash.

049 Shoes

049 Shoes
Object: Ski boots

Acquired: Summer 2010

From: Garage Sale

Cost: $5.00 for shoes, skis and poles

Notes: Best deal I've ever got. If only I had someone to ski with so I could use them...

048 Shoes

048 Shoes
Object: Merrell Hiking sandels

Acquired: Spring 2010

From: Amazon.com

Notes: I love these. They are comfortable and pretty. They hold dirt and smells for too long, but otherwise I love them.

047 Shoes

047 Shoes
Object: Merrell Hiking Boots

Acquired: Spring 2010

From: Amazon.com

Notes: These were meant to be replacement hiking boots because my others were/are dying, but these have air vents along the sides, so I can't wear them in the winter. Plus the place I was staying when I got them was full of sand, and I bet anything these are now, too.

046 Shoes

046 Shoes
Object: Blue Crocs

Acquired: 2009

From: EMS

Cost: $15?

Notes: I used to have a pair of red Crocs that were too big. I looked like a clown wearing them.  But eventually I realized I'd never truly wear them out, so I got rid of them.  About a year later I got these, which are the correct size and a much less hideous color.

Object 002 Pet Rabbit likes to chew on these, too, although I've done a slightly better job of keeping them out of her way. Some day I'd like to get her her 'own' pair of Crocs to play with--but of course, she'll never be interested in those.

045 Shoes

045 Shoes
Object: Yellow Sandles

Acquired: 2006?

From: Sarah, who got them in Russia

Notes: These were an 'I lived in Russia for a year' gift from my bestest friend ever. They look like they are Crocs, but they really aren't--apparently the Russians came up with the plasticy stuff they are made out of first, so these are... way more awesome than Crocs. I only wear them inside because they are getting worn out.

You can see along the edges that Object 002 Pet Rabbit likes to chew on them--and throw them across the room.  As if she doesn't have enough toys.
