Notes: TJ Puffins was one of those fancy toy stores where kids drool over every, but can't ever really buy anything because it's all way too overpriced--I'm sure you know the type.  We used to go in there ...not a lot, but some. I think they have extra fun stickers, and maybe those buckets of little tiny thing that you could buy for a few cents, and we'd get those things occasionally, but the biggest thing one of us ever got was a tiny stuffed squirrel, which subsequently got named 'OP' for Over Priced.

So when we heard they were going out of business...

But this is the only thing I got there. That's the problem with closing sales; the sales aren't quite enough to make things affordable, but then when they are, there's nothing worthwhile left.

Actually, I did get a stuffed rabbit for my niece, too.

Notes: These are similar to objects 082-084, but I thought I'd give them just one entry this time, save us all a bit of sanity. I LOVE these guys. LOVE LOVE LOVE. And in the whole series of 16 there's only three that I don't quite want to own, as opposed to series 3 where I only wanted about three of them. I'm very excited by the chance to collect more in the future. Now that I know where Target stocks them (I looked all over for series 3 guys but failed to find them, these were practically falling off the shelf).

Notes: I've had a set or two of double-sixes for awhile now, but I wanted double twelves--but double-twelves of the black wooden dominoes, which they don't sell in stores any more. I was so happy to finally find these!  Once I got them home I laid them all out to make sure all the dominoes were there. I found that there's the correct number of them, but the double-threes was missing, and there were two double-blanks. I have no idea how in hell this happened, but it did.

At least I have a double-six set I can borrow the double-threes from.

Notes: This was the third minifig I got. He's...okay. I'd really been hoping for the elf or the samurai or something. But at least this guy wasn't as much of a let-down as the NASCAR racer.

Notes: This was my first set of proper juggling balls. There's a juggling fest in Madison every January, and I go with my best friend(s) we can juggle now, but we couldn't when we started going around age 14. My best friend had a few sets of balls, so we'd attempt after the fest's one-night show, but otherwise I had nothing to practice with. So one year I asked for these for Christmas. They came with a book, but I haven't seen that for a long time.

Notes: I needed a new set of clubs, and these were the answer. I'm not really good at juggling, but I'm passable (literally...) and I'd be better if I practiced more than once a year at Madfest. I'm too shy to get people to teach me tricks, though, and that's what I really want to learn. Ah well.

Notes: The basket is one I got for my toiletries going into college, while the blocks I got in several places.  There are three types of blocks here; there's a set of four 'pet' blocks which I got at (surprise!) a pet store; there's one set of larger Old Navy blocks I got at a garage sale; and there's four sets of smaller alphabet blocks (one from a garage sale, one from Savers Thrift Store, and two from a discount store). Theoretically they are for my rabbit to play with, but she prefers to go around them rather than through. She'll chew on them from time to time, though.

Notes: I have a collection of stuffed rabbits which started many years ago.  When I went to college I put all the rabbits whose names I could remember into the attic. I still had seven or eight that traveled with me, but every so often I stick more of them into the attic.  I wish I could recall this one's name--or even if he was supposed to have a name. Ah well, someday I'll rename him and no one will be the wiser.
