Notes: I think these might be lego-themed file boxes? They are about the size and shape of a file box.  And certainly the way they open is not conducive to keeping Legos in.  I rarely use them, and when I do it is for non-box purposes.

Notes: When you chew wintergreen mints--either the lifesavers or the Altoids variety--in the dark there are little glows of light that appear in your mouth.  Obviously that was part of the Night Experience. This tin is left over from that, and I should probably get rid of it, but I can't bring myself to cull the Night Hike Box yet, so I'll keep it for now.

Notes: Every week at NC we'd go out on a 'night hike' which was actually not a hike at all.  There were a bunch of 'tricks' that we needed to do to during the hike, and you needed somewhere to put your supplies.  Everyone had a different container--or you could just wear pants with lots of pockets. This was the one I picked.

Although my first one was a supply given by NC. I couldn't use it past my first season, though, because one of the tricks involved an orange, and I kept forgetting the orange was in there until it got moldy. And if you don't think moldy orange is a gross enough smell, it was also paired with the scent of wintergreen mints.  I washed that box several times, and it still smelled.

This one smells like wintergreen, but I'm mildly allergic to oranges, so I stopped doing that trick after my first season, and then I never had the moldy-orange problem again.

Notes: I like this box, although it's not one I would have picked out for myself, and also it's too fancy for the costume jewelry I keep in it.

Nor did I realize how much was in it until I started photographing for this next section of my blog. I guess small jewelry bits really DO add up over time. And maybe I should have started out with four digit numbers instead of three.

Notes: It actually had two different price tags, one on the lid and one on the bottom. I worried I'd have to pay for both pieces separately--but I didn't.  This is an awesome box, and it's not chipped or damaged or anything. I'm not sure what I'll keep in it, since the actual storage space is smallish, but even if I never think of anything this is an awesome box!

Notes: It unstuffs into a full-size reusable bag. I like to wear it on my belt loop where it's nice and convenient, but then I always forget to use it anyway. It's a work in progress.

Notes: I started a collection of reusable bags, and then my rabbit found that they were delicious so I don't have very many of them any more. This one either survived or has some stitches inside of it, I'm not sure which. It serves it's purpose, though--either storing things or carrying things.

Notes: This makes it look like I have a ton of stuff from midstates, but I really don't. Well, I do, but most of it's in the attic...I won a basket of stuff in a raffle once, so there's all that stuff, and then this bag and two clipboards, so it's not really a whole lot total, it's just...

Okay, look, here's this canvas bag. You can see where I wrote my nickname on it. It's useful as a reusable bag, but I often forget to bring bags along, so I hardly ever use it. Sometimes I store stuff in it. It's a bag; what do you expect?

Notes: It was an odd garage sale.  Their stuff was all high-end and low-priced, but the people running the sale seemed very angry about parting with it.  My sister was looking at a set of cocktail glasses there and accidentally broke one, and the lady got really angry and yelled at her that she need to buy them--which my sister had been planing to do in the first place (not to mention that she'd thought it strange there were FIVE glasses in the set; and now there was a more reasonable 4).

Anyway, I use this to store my beads--or I did when I had fewer beads.  Currently they just sit out, but I'm not sure what I'll do if I need to pack them away again because they'll never fit back in here.  Puzzle for another day, I guess.

Notes: I had a basket just like this when I lived in Portland.  I kept my shoes in it, but when I moved away from OR I had no space for the basket.  Then I went to a couple of garage sales in New Hampshire and found one there, which I now use to hold my shoes. I'm quite delighted with it.

Notes: It's a book! It's a box! It's the start of another collection of mine! Seriously, I love these things. I have more of them than I have things to store in them. This box actually gets to store my beaded tapestries (when they aren't hanging up) and other beaded bits. Some day I'll photograph its contents.  Look forward to it.

Notes: I have four total of these (the other two get their own entries because of what's stored in them), and I find them to be rather useful. One of these two usually holds my beading thread, and the other the tiny finished beading projects of mine.  Each box has it's own lid, which is really strange because you can't buy them with a lid apiece anywhere, so I don't know how I did that.
